BID MANAGER – EXTENDED SCOPE and HEAT PUMPS

Are you interested to work in an environment that provides you technical as well as commercial challenges? Do you want to improve your understanding in what applications gas turbines are used while contributing to reduced environmental footprint by increased efficiency, or are you attracted by heat production based on green electricity?

Bid Management, Extended Scope has over the past five years contributed to significant increased order intake for Siemens Energy AB and enabled gas turbine sales to projects that we otherwise would not have been able to address. During the past year, we have also been a strong contributing factor to secure the first heat pump projects in modern times for Siemens Energy AB.

How You’ll Make an Impact
* Prepare competitive technical offers for heat pump plants or additional scope for our gas turbine projects (such as e.g. heat recovery steam generators, steam turbines, heat exchangers etc.).
* Independently lead technical bid efforts, alternatively for larger scopes - coordinate and lead a technical bid team consisting of different disciplines within the company and from external partners
* Lead ”Technical Risk and Opportunity Management” within your bid projects.
* Review customer specifications and prepare project specific exceptions and clarifications.
* Define the scope of supply, source and aggregate projects cost estimates.
* Lead technical clarification meetings with our customers and contribute with technical expertise in commercial customer negotiations.
* Make technical product presentations for our customers.
* The work is conducted in close collaboration with Siemens Energy's local and global sales community and technical specialists such as our thermodynamic colleagues.
* The position includes international business trips which frequency and duration may vary depending on the actual sales situation and to certain degree on personal preferences.

What You Bring
* Bachelor or Master’s in Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical or similar)
* A documented background preferably within gas turbine-, steam turbine- or power plant business or alternatively equivalent experience gained from Process industry or Oil & Gas industry.
* You enjoy working with scope that is tailored to meet customer’s specific project needs.
* Your foundation is the technical scene, however you’re familiar in commercial topics and are genuinely interested to win! Moreover, you are driven, customer oriented and appreciate to work with both internal and external customers from different continents and cultures.
* You are positive, curious to learn and have experience to work independently under responsibility
* Knowledge in thermodynamics is a preference.
* Proficiency in English. Swedish language skill is a merit.

About the Team

In the Bid Management department, we are today around 60 employees working in the different areas such as IGT products, Oil & Gas, FEED, and Extended Scope and Heat Pumps. You will be part of the Extended Scope team together with around 15 other committed and energized colleagues.

Our Gas Services division offers Low-emission power generation through service and decarbonization. Zero or low emission power generation and all gas turbines under one roof, steam turbines and generators. Decarbonization opportunities through service offerings, modernization, and digitalization of the fleet.
