Your role

We are now looking for a Bid Manager with strong commercial capabilities to join our Marketing & Sales staff.


As bid manager you will be responsible for coordination and delivery of bids. You will work closely with our Product Sales Responsibles and be part of managing the Win Business process to ensure that we deliver our best possible bids.


In this role you will mainly work with Business Area Support and Services' part in Saab's Gripen campaign bids, but you are also expected to coordinate small and medium sized bids as needed. Examples of what the work includes are coordinate estimates, oversee pricing and commercial terms and risk assessments.


This role is both challenging and holistic regarding the spectrum of responsibilities and interfaces and you will work with colleagues within the business unit, the business area as well as internal and external partners and customers.


The position may include both national and international travel.

* Support Solution domain knowledge
* General commercial skills
* Excellent pricing knowledge and ability to work in Excel
* Good business understanding, and of various business models.


We expect you to have previous experience from bid management and/or commercial roles.

This position requires that you will be approved in a security screening in accordance with the Swedish Protective Security Act.


What you will be a part of

Business Unit Gripen Support manages Gripen business within Support and Services and provides a focal point for customers and partners.

We provide support for the Gripen system including a range of products and services e.g. technical support, maintenance, ground support equipment, component repair, services for advanced electronic systems, as well as advanced logistics supply services.

We also offer maintenance concepts as well as production and implementation of various parts of other maintenance solutions to customers in all domains.

We will evaluate candidates continuously which means that the position may be filled prior to the job ad expiration date.
