Kambi is a leading B2B provider of premium sports betting services for online and retail gambling operators. Our mission is to create the world’s leading sports betting experience, from front-end user interface to customer intelligence, risk management and odds compiling. With offices in Stockholm, Uppsala, London, Malta, Bucharest, Philadelphia and Sydney together with 800 passionate and highly skilled people, we live and breathe sports betting.
We are looking for a developer with experience of both the Hadoop Ecosystem and Java or Python to further strengthen our data platform team. The team brings value by providing a uniform way to produce business information from our production environments, and to make it available for analysis.
This is what our developers do:
As a Big Data Engineer you and your team will build scalable and maintainable systems that runs and fails gracefully. We support our Product Owners with technical insight and cooperates with data scientists to support development of machine learning models. You will also be directly involved with development on our machine learning pipeline, which consists of microservices leveraging event-driven architecture and other modern software engineering paradigms, to produce data used by machine learning models to generate insight in real-time.

Who we think you are:
You are familiar with data modelling, data access and data storage techniques. We also think you have worked in a team developing, deploying and maintaining one or more software products. You thrive in a cross-functional and self-managing team, which also means that you are interested and experienced in agile and/or lean software development. We also hope you have experience from integration of heterogeneous applications. We are about to move our data platform to Cloud (AWS) and previous knowledge of cloud migration is an advantage.
