Able to wear multiple hats, do what it takes ability and attitude. 
Strong object-oriented programming and design skills, preferably in Java/Scala.
Experience building scalable, reliable, distributed unix-based systems.
Hadoop ecosystem knowledge(Zookeeper/HBase/HDFS/MapReduce).
Excellent analytical and problem solving skills.
Excellent oral and written communication skills, fluent in English.

Additional competences that are a plus: Experience in information retrieval and storage or machine learning. Worked with Hadoop technologies, Hive, Spark, Pig, YARN, Storm, Samza. Working knowledge of Python and/or shell scripting
