Big Data Senior Developer

About the Role
You will be part of a team working with cutting edge technologies and will be responsible for designing, developing and maintaining applications in Big Data/Cloud platforms.
We work in an Agile way with open communication, always striving for improving ourselves, learning from other team members and sharing knowledge.
 What will you be doing?
Designing, developing, testing and maintaining data-pipelines to ingest various data sources into big data platform
Implementing and maintaining real-time/batch applications like recommender systems 
Continuously improving the performance of the platform as well as the data structure
Setting up infrastructure to guarantee data quality
Working closely with other development teams, Data Scientists and business stakeholders
Using products/ frameworks like Spark, Storm, Hive, Kafka, HBase, AirFlow, Talend etc
Working with MS Azure/ AWS/ Google cloud/ Snowflake and related services.
Propose data modelling for better storage and retrieval



Who are you?
You have extensive experience in programming with respect to the best practices 
You have good knowledge in stream and batch processing (Like Spark and Storm)
You have good experience on Microsoft Azure, AWS, Snowflake or Google Cloud
You have good experience in migration projects from On-Premises DWs to Cloud
You must have good experience on Java, ANSI SQL writing and database (Oracle, Teradata or DB2)
You are passionate for handling large amounts of data
You have an analytical mind and problem-solving attitude
You are team player with good communication skills
You are a pragmatic self-motivated team player who understands the business context
You are excited about Hadoop/ Cloud based data technologies
You enjoy the challenge how to structure, organise and optimise large amounts of data
You enjoy learning new technologies and sharing them
Cloud certified solution architect or developer is an added advantage
