Position: Senior/Associate Principal Scientist - Translational Biomarker and Bioanalysis

Your Role: As a Bioassay Specialist, you'll play a crucial part in one or more project teams. Your expertise will drive the development of novel biomarkers and bioanalytical methods, and secure delivery of high quality bioanalytical data, contributing significantly to our mission against neurodegenerative disorders.

Location: Stockholm, Sweden.

Duration: Full time, open-ended

Start date: Upon agreement

Key Responsibilities:

- Manage biomarker strategy for specific target validation, mechanism of action studies and efficacy studies using in vitro/ in vivo methods and tools.

- Develop and implement new biomarker and bioanalysis concepts for the treatment of neurodegenerative disorders.

- Identifying, developing, qualifying and validating quantitative bioanalytical methods such as immunoassays suitable for efficacy -and pharmacokinetic studies including preclinical in vivo studies as well as translation to clinical Phase I and II studies.

- Planning of studies, delivering, documenting and communicating results within specific projects and functions.

- Handling contacts and assay transfer to analytical contract labs.

What We Look For:

- PhD in a relevant natural science discipline such as biomedicine, biochemistry, molecular biology, pharmacology or neuroscience.

- + 5 years’ experience of developing and qualifying quantitative immuno assays such as ELISA, MSD and/or other instruments such as SIMOA and SMCxPro or other bioanalytical platforms for the use of diagnostics and/or pharmacodynamic and exposure analyses.

- Proven track record of developing and qualifying highly sensitive quantitative assays as well as experience applying these in various tissue matrices such as human plasma and CSF.

- Experience of developing extraction and sample preparation protocols from various tissue matrices.

- Demonstrated ability to independently design and solve scientific problems using multiple, state-of-the-art technologies, experimental methods, and approaches.

- Experience of assay validation and assay transfer to analytical contract labs.
