Vattenfall is looking for the right person to fill the position as Biologist with orientation towards fish and river ecosystems. You will be a part of Section Machinery Laboratory at R&D within Vattenfall Strategic Development with location in Älvkarleby.

Your main tasks and responsibilities
As Biologist you will have the following key responsibilities:
Perform laboratory and field tests and experiments with fish, mainly with the application fish migration and fish behaviour.
Field measurements and inspections, e.g. inspections of passage solutions and eDNA sampling.
Assessing environmental measures, and finding efficient migration solutions
Support with biological expertise in environmental projects
Your profile and personal skills
To be successful in this position you need:
A Master in biology, or equal experience, preferably with orientation towards fish ecology, and/or river ecosystems.
Fluency in written and spoken English.
Experience of fish behaviour and fish migration.
Experience with designing and conducting field and/or laboratory experiments with fish.
Established network within hydro power: e.g. business, universities or authorities, as well as a good command of Swedish will be considered as merits.
Others recognize you as a positive person with good communication and problem-solving skills. You are furthermore described as a person that see what needs be done, and then make it happen. You truly believe, even as an expert in your own field, that better results are achieved multidisciplinary and in cooperation with others. You see every opportunity to connect and work with different stakeholders as a part of your own development.
Location: Älvkarleby.
Some travelling to relevant sites will occur.
