The department is involved in advanced basic scientific, clinical and epidemiological research. The department is one of the largest departments of education at Karolinska Institutet.

Division of Biomolecular and Cellular Medicine (BCM)

BCM is focused on gene and cell therapy approaches as well as being the host for several core facilities within preclinical and clinical medical research.
