We are now searching for biomedical scientist to our Department of clinical neurophysiology, University Hospital in Linköping.
Job description
As a biomedical scientist, at the Department of Neurophysiology at the University Hospital in Linköping, you`ll investigate disorders of the central and peripheral nervous system using a number of standardised testing protocols. You can expect to interact with a wide range of patient group including those with epilepsy, sleep disorders, neuromuscular disorders, and so on.
If you work in this area of healthcare, you`ll carry out investigations in dedicated environments or departments, in intensive care settings and in operating theatres. You will work directly with inpatients and outpatients of all ages.
We are currently employing biomedical scientists in our in-hospital ward and are looking to hire more. As a biomedical scientist you are a part of a team around the patient. You take responsibility for ensuring that the standardised testing protocols are completed and that patients receive the best care. You supervise new employees and students and often act as supervisor.
The position as a biomedical scientist includes no working shifts (only daytime).
Experience of working with patients within these environments as well as experience of monitoring care is good, but not a requirement.
Requirements
Registered license as biomedical scientist within EU/EEA
Basic computer skills
English and Swedish language skills
Personal characteristics
You should have a positive attitude, a good cooperative ability and can handle different situations in a constructive way. You should enjoy working in teams with different professions.
Terms of employment
Before moving to Sweden you need to reach a certain level in the Swedish language and have your medical training recognized by the Swedish National Board of Health and Welfare https://legitimation.socialstyrelsen.se/en/licence-application/.
The employment will start with a trial period, combined with further language studies. If the trial period will be proved satisfactory and you demonstrate required skills recognized by the County Council of Östergötland, it will automatically turn into a permanent employment.
All contracts follow local and national collective agreements. Salary is set individually depending on your qualification and experience.
