What does the Programme involve?

Starting in September 2021, the first two years at AstraZeneca will provide you with an opportunity to work on drug projects and to gain fantastic insights by supporting early and late phase drug development in strategy, clinical trial design, data collection, analyses, data reporting and interpretation to maintain quality decision making, driving innovation in drug projects.

The programme's variety and flexibility provides you with outstanding exposure within Statistical Programming and other areas of Biometrics. As well as helping you broaden your pharmaceutical industry knowledge, we'll help you develop the 'soft' skills required to fulfil your career potential.

You will be part of a collaborative team and gain an invaluable blend of on-the-job experience and specific training. Enjoy guidance and advice from a huge support network, including a mentor and buddy. We'll also encourage you to identify, build collaborative relationships with specialists and leaders across our organisation. Together, we will help accelerate your development and knowledge.

Essential requirements

* BSc (or equivalent) in Mathematics, Statistics, Computer Science or Life Science gained in 2019, 2020 or 2021.
* Programming knowledge of SAS or R.
* Database and/or clinical trial awareness would be desirable but not crucial.
* Passion for programming and curious about pharmaceutical development.
* Proactive problem solving and critical thinking skills.
* Planning, organisational and time management skills.
* Collaborative, with a partnership approach to achieving success.
* Good level of written and spoken English.
* Legal right to work in country.
