Biotech Inside Sales Manager

We are actively looking for a candidate to lead the North Inside Sales Biotech Team (UK & Nordics). The team is responsible sales of our scientific products, instruments and consumables within the UK market. The team utilises their specialist scientific knowledge to establish relationships with current and prospective customers over the phone and in-person, understanding the customer’s specialist requirements and providing the most appropriate and innovative solutions from the Thermo Fisher product portfolio.
As District Manager of the Biotech Inside Sales (UK) Team, you lead the agile team to achieve strong sales results. You will lead business processes and handle resources effectively and will be accountable to Sales Leadership for achieving the agreed upon sales targets, financial targets and service coverage for the region.
This role is office-based, at our Stockholm, Sweden site. Some travel may be required.


What you will do:
Develop a business plan to meet or exceed business goals agreed upon with Sales management for the UK & Nordics
Handle contracts & quotations to Customers
Through your team of Inside Sales Representatives, advise in the process of selling products and services to customers and prospects
Regularly supervise customers’ needs and the Company’s product offerings to ensure needs are understood by team members and key departments and appropriate levels of service and responsiveness are provided to accounts
Consistently supervise results of sales process including sales forecasting and funnel management through the use of SFDC system and other designated IT tools
Keep relevant people and team members fully advised of significant changes in customer relationships and the potential impact on the business
Address and resolve customer issues
Participate in attracting, hiring, training and developing your team to sell our portfolio consistent with company standards
Serve as a role model and mentor for your team in all aspects of the sales process and customer relationship management
Develop and maintain up to date knowledge of markets, products, and buying practices required to contend in the assigned region
Use discernment and analytical skills to work with internal functions, Account Managers, Sales Specialists and customers



Who we are looking for: experience, skills & abilities
Bachelor’s Degree in Biology, Molecular Biology, Biochemistry or related field; or the equivalent knowledge and experience
Proven track record in sales within the Life Sciences sector
A leader with the ability to resolve differences and develop an impactful team
A strategic and tactical thinker, proficient in developing concrete business plans and demonstrating how to achieve those plans
Strong analytical, business planning & presentation skills
Ability to get along with all customer types across functions and at all levels to gain dedication, acquire resources, and achieve desired results
Excellent interpersonal and prioritization skills, comfortable adapting to a constantly evolving environment
