Job Overview
We design systems that are in the forefront of technology, so also within the Bluetooth area (such as LE Audio and Mesh networking). Android based platforms have grown as choice to base products on, due to time efficiency in development.
We are seeking a Bluetooth engineer! The successful candidate will demonstrate deep knowledge of the Android Bluetooth stack, from application layer down to Kernel, using several different Bluetooth profiles and protocols. You will work in all project phases and with all kinds of Android based products. And sometimes, with other embedded operating systems, such as Zephyr and FreeRTOS.
Role and Responsibility
Develop software in the Bluetooth stack; analyze, design, program, integrate, unit test and debug.
Work in teams with other software developers.
Interface customers on engineering level
Contribute in pre-studies and propose technical solutions
Collaborate with specialists and developers from other technical areas like hardware, audio and optics
Investigate and learn new product domains in context of need to design the correct solutions
Basic qualifications
To succeed in this role you must have:
Minimum Bachelor’s in computer science or equal
Experience in working with Bluetooth, including knowledge and understanding of Bluetooth architecture and specifications
Experience in programming in Android based systems.
Knowledge and understanding in embedded software development
Experience in C/C++.
Preferred additional skills, personal traits, experience
Preferred Qualifications
Experience in working with new features from latest Bluetooth specifications, such as LE Audio
Experience in working with several different levels of the Bluetooth stack
Experience in working with Wifi or at least willing to learn
Experience in Java
Experience in developing (big) systems of integrated functionality in software and hardware
Experience in developing consumer and industrial products
Development tools like Git, Gerrit, Jenkins, Coverity
Creative debugging with multiple sources and techniques like debuggers, log analysis, signal analysis, and protocol sniffers
Personal characteristics
Proactiveness in collaborating and execution.
Willingness to learn new methods / tools / processes
Strong problem solving and critical thinking skills
Strong passion for creativity and solving cutting edge industry problems
