BMC Remedy Administrator - ITSM

ELITS are now looking to fill a IT Configuration Administrator, position in Stockholm.

About the position

Working in an Agile-driven environment, Service Support Engineer will be working independently and in collaboration with other System Administrators and Subject Matter Experts (SMEs).

As an IT Configuration Administrator(CMDB DevOPS), your main responsibilities are:

- Supporting the Configuration Management Service in cooperation with Service Operations Manager to ensure that all Sites and Service-related CIs are correct, complete, and up to date. This task requires close cooperation with configuration management and other teams.
- Participate actively in Configuration Management meetings, Supplier meetings, Planning, and Strategy discussions within Configuration Management areas.
- Check ADDM appliance and CMDB is functioning correctly and troubleshooting issues.
- Administration, support and development of tools used by Configuration Management Service: BMC Atrium CMDB (CMDB) and BMC Discovery (ADDM)
- Setup and maintenance of ADDM scanning, credentials and exclusions as well as proactively investigating issues.
- Support CMDB Attribute Completeness
- Collaborating with local subject matter experts to troubleshoot issues with scanning systems.
- Participating in the Identification, analysis, and proof of concept of new solution and technology options as required by Configuration Management.
- Analyzing and troubleshooting problems as required by Configuration Management.
- Ensuring and Supporting documentation and publication of needed information by Configuration Management Team.
- Recommending Improvements for CMDB and ADDM.

Qualifications

- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or Information Technology
- Work experience as an IT Configuration Administrator.
- Intermediate knowledge of industry based standard configuration management tools i.e. (BMC or ServiceNow).
- Intermediate knowledge of Java and PHP
- General knowledge and debugging capability of Windows and Linux operating System(Shell scripting / Python on Linux & Power Shell / WMI on windows)
- System Administration experience in a large distributed infrastructure
- General knowledge of relational database i.e. Oracle
- Good Understanding of ITIL methodology
- Good knowledge of programming concepts.
- Knowledge of telecommunication industry is an asset.
- Excellent command of English language
