BNP Paribas Cardif is looking for a Junior Trainee Actuary in Gothenburg

BNP Paribas Cardif provides insurance solutions on the Nordic markets through banks, finance and insurance companies. The largest product group is creditor insurance. The objective for the BNP Paribas Cardif Nordic group is to create long-term relationships with its partners, and the business model optimizes each step in the value chain to create and continuously increase customer and partner value.
We are now searching for a Junior Trainee Actuary to our team in Gothenburg. Actuarial activities play a central role in BNP Paribas Cardif Nordic with important external and internal interactions. Since Cardif's strength is to develop unique and tailor-made insurance solutions, actuaries are an important part of the construction of the offers in the company.
To our Actuarial Department at the Nordic head office in Gothenburg, we are now looking for Junior Trainee Actuary (temporary position) who is interested in working in an international and changing environment.


This is a unique opportunity to get experience and training in:
Solvency II reporting process
IFRS 17 Reporting process



Education, knowledge and experience:
Recently finished Master’s degree within in actuarial science / mathematics / technology or economics, preferably with a financial focus
Good knowledge of Python
Good knowledge of Excel
Experience with statistics and database tools such as Access / SAS / SQL or another database system
Good knowledge both orally and in writing in English



Meritorious if you have:
Work experience from insurance with market knowledge from the Swedish and Nordic insurance industry.
Additional language skills, especially Swedish, and others such as French, Finnish, Norwegian and Danish, can be a plus.



Personal skills:
As a person, you are thorough, structured and independent. You are motivated by working in a fast-paced international environment and have an easy time learning new tasks. It is important for you to deliver on time and with high quality. You have great integrity and are able to argue for your opinions.
