Bose Automotive is looking for an Audio Systems Engineer to Gothenburg
We are looking for an engineering personality who can support a highly versatile team and cover a wide range of tasks:
The position is involved from early system layout discussions to concept work and production tuning. It will act as the technical expert and communicator as well as the system tuner.
The goal is to develop best-in-class sound systems for entertainment reproduction that will eventually also be used for noise management features.
This requires thorough knowledge of applied acoustics, vehicle electrics and amplifier electronics as well as negotiation skills. A flexible and solution-oriented mindset to overcome technical hurdles is a must.
Also, willingness for (inter)national travel is a pre-requisite.
Key responsibilities include:
- System and component level layout specification of audio systems
- Layout, building and tuning of concept vehicles
- Ensuring sound quality through layout, development and production phase
- Tuning of production audio systems to achieve Bose and customer specific sound targets
- Collaboration with various internal and customer departments
- Participation in project acquisition, concept and feature demonstration, troubleshooting, marketing and press events
Key skills include:
- Strong acoustical background and listening skills
- Perseverance in understanding the SW and tools foundations we build our sound on
- Developed communication and organizational skills
- Thorough understanding of electronics and electro-acoustical circuitry
- Working knowledge of Matlab, PSpice and MS Office programs is strongly desired - this or similar SW knowledge is a must
- Experience in the automotive industry is a plus
Requirements:
- Engineer-level degree in Physics/Electro-technics with strong relation to acoustics
- Automotive Audio experience is a plus
- Native Swedish speaker + English fluent oral and written
- Travel up to 40% of the time is required (to Germany/European customer sites and HQ in Boston/USA; seldom trips to customer sites outside Europe)
