In this role you will become a member of an Agile development team with great team spirit. Volvo Cars have a holistic approach to the extended vehicle security and privacy, spanning over the complete vehicle lifecycle, involving technology for protection and detection as well as threat intelligence and incident response. As a contributing team member, you will become a recognized important player in the Security and Privacy fields within our company. What you’ll do
The Usage Authorization team is responsible for designing and creating secure system to protect against unauthorized use of the vehicle. We own, design, and develop functions to prevent illegal start and driving away of the car. The team works with different levels of solution for the entire project lifecycle from function concept to end-to-end verification. The team works in close collaboration with both internal and external stakeholders towards every functionality.

As a Software Developer in the area Usage Authorization functionality, you will play an important role by contributing to make software to ensuring driver authentication for the engine nodes as well as developing software for new legal requirements. 
You will implement software to protect against unauthorized use of the car and make sure that the car is only drivable with a valid key or device. 

You will be involved in all stages from requirement definition to validation and all the way to verification. 
You will be a member in the agile team as well as managing interfaces with stakeholders internally and externally. 

You and your skills 
* Bachelor or a master’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or equivalent documented experience. 
* C++ on Linux/QNX, you are also well familiar with how to design software in general.
* Minimum 2 years of experience in software development of embedded safety critical systems 
* Proven hands-on experience in design and implementation of efficient memory management and buffering, parallel processing, inter process communication as well as time series data processing & management. 
* Well familiar with GIT, Gerrit and JIRA. General Matlab knowledge.
* Basic knowledge in software verification in multiple test setup environments. 
* Experience from working in a SAFe/Agile team and environment.
* Fluent in both written and spoken English.
* Previous experience from Automotive or Telecom are meritorious.
* Experience working with CANoe and CANalyzer are meritorious. 
* Swedish driving license B or equivalent is meritorious.
