Alstom is recruiting a Brake Project Manager for its Brake System division located in Västerås, Sweden. This newly created division aims to capitalize Alstom know-how on brakes and to define brake products for its rolling stock applications. The Brakes System Department innovates and defines the brakes of the future, foster cooperation between customers, suppliers, and academics. Its scope includes product & industrial strategy, offer & contract execution, product safety, reliability improvement, and return of experience.

As Brake Project Manager, you are responsible for management and successful completion of cross-functional activities leading to the delivery of brake systems to European and international customers.

Reporting functionally to the Train Project Manager, your mission is to:
Ensure the respect the Quality, Cost and Delivery targets of your project
Plan, monitor, control and manage the project (deliverables, schedule, resources, cost, risks, savings) for the brake scope
Manage functionally a multidisciplinary team
Coordinate all departments (engineering, quality, industrialization, sourcing, supply chain, manufacturing, warranty) contributing to your project
Support the Train Project Manager in front of the customer for the brake scope
Report to the management about the progress of the project


Being integrated into multicultural teams working on railway projects for the European and international market, you will develop your career progressively in the railway domain. Your profile:
Strong background in project management, preferably in the railway industry
Decision-minded and result-oriented
Team spirit approach, communication skills
Fluent in English
Regular travels in Europe and abroad
Swedish is considered an advantage
