Let us describe the challenge we offer
We are seeking an experienced Brand Strategy Professional to lead efforts related to amplifying the Volvo Car brand and how we use it across a variety of dimensions, including storytelling, purpose based messaging and nomenclature.

Reporting to Head of Brand, this role will have high visibility across marketing, product, content and business development. We expect you to be a highly motivated and strategically focused individual with significant experience working with brand strategy. You also have a service mentality and collaboration skills with the ability to turn recommendations into action via a strong buy-in from market and regional organizations.

You will translate top-level priorities into clear brand strategy and messages; drive the development of brand activities that generate and influence brand awareness and perceptions for Volvo Cars. You will be setting clear goals for delivering growth using an effective brand strategy across audiences including establishing the vision for the continuous evolution of Volvo Car’s brand perception. We need you to develop strong creator and viewer audience-focused brand messaging and priorities that build the foundation for brand and marketing campaigns and collaborate closely with key Marcom capabilities, Product, Business Development stakeholders and local markets to champion the Volvo Car brand. You will also guide the development, implementation, execution and/or maintenance of but not limited to Guidelines, Trainings, Messaging and Nomenclature.

Experience        
•    5+ years of demonstrated success and subject matter expertise in consumer brand strategy and consumer brand marketing
•    International working experience from US, Asia or a large European market and/or working with one of the top 10 brands in a global context
•    BA/BSc in Communication, Marketing, Journalist or equivalent.
•    At Volvo, you will be part of a cross-functional and international team, with English as a natural language for written and spoken communication
