We at BrewDog have one mission. We want to make other people as passionate about great craft beer as we are. Our bars are at the forefront of that mission, delivering amazing beer & customer service at all times. And now, we’re looking for an Assistant Manager to join our team.

In this role you’ll support the General Manager of the running of this site. You’ll be the benchmark for customer service, leading by example & training others to give the best customer experience of all time. BrewDog’s goal is to be the best employer ever, so part of your role will be ensuring all of your team are happy, developing themselves, reaching goals & having fun.

You’ll be part of an experienced management team alongside a crew of passionate & confident individuals, made up of team in the kitchen, on the floor & behind the bar. Some with vast amounts of beer knowledge, some with years of customer service experience, some fresh into the industry. Your job is to be the glue that holds the team together & pushes them to be better every single day, and develop to the next stages of their career with us. Part of your responsibilities will also be to keep the social medias updated regularly.
About The Candidate
You’ll have at least 6 years’ restaurant experience, possibly even in a junior management role in a busy bar or restaurant in order to help steer and develop the team here.
Knowledge of craft beer for this role would be desirable, but an interest and willingness to learn if you don’t is essential. We’ve got all the tools (and the beer), you just need to be excited to learn.
You also must be customer service focused, making sure every single experience a customer has at this BrewDog bar absolutely stand-out. You’ll be a natural trainer & love seeing the people around you learn & develop, you’ll be responsible for nurturing the future talent in BrewDog bars and take pride in that. Financial acumen alongside an understanding of the local craft beer scene would also be beneficial. Knowing how to upsell and seeing that as one of the most important parts of success for the bar is also essential, perhaps you have more experience on the floor - surfing around the tables making sure the customers have full glasses - than you do behind the bar? Perfect, that´s what we´re looking for! As mentioned social media knowledge is also beneficial, as you, together with the GM, will be responsible for the bars social media updates and accounts.
