Arbetsbeskrivning
As a brewer you are responsible for all aspects of the brewing process, including upholding quality and hygiene standards, and to ensure products are produced on time for packaging by the packaging team.
Main responsibilities include:
Brewhouse operations, including spent grain handling, silo activities and ensuring recipes are followed accordingly
Manage cellaring and centrifuging of products, including transferring, dry hopping etc.
Maintain production records in SAP (Orchestrated Beer) and quality data
Safeguard safety and hygiene standards throughout the brewery
Cleaning and maintain cleaning schedules, including periodic handling of hazardous chemicals, CIP of equipment and maintain a clean working environment
Participate in pilot brews and development of products and recipes
Quality control, including assess the quality throughout the brewing process.
Represent Poppels at trade events and liaise with customers
Continuous improvement, including improving the brewing, setting goals for improving quality, hygiene, and safety of the brewery as well as productivity
Contribute to production planning and attend production meetings
Participate in ad-hoc projects
Job requirements
Passion for craft beer
Degree or professional brewing certificate is preferred
Adequate computer skills in Microsoft Office, ERP systems, preferably SAP
Brewing experience
Attention to detail and quality
Fluent in English
