Spendrups Bryggeri AB, Sweden seeks to recruit a brewmaster to our brewery located in Grängesberg, Dalecarlia!

Spendrups is a Swedish family-owned brewery that combines strong traditions with innovation. The brewery was founded in 1897 in Grängesberg, and is currently operated by the Spendrup family’s fourth generation. We are located at several sites in Sweden with headquarters in Vårby, outside Stockholm and production in Grängesberg, Hällefors and Visby. We place great emphasis on craftsmanship and beverage experience. Our beverage portfolio includes brands such as Mariestad, Norrlands Guld, Heineken, Loka, Schweppes, Briska as well as wine producers like Cono Sur, Gallo and Boschendal. Spendrups have 1.100 employees and a turnover of approximately 4 billion Swedish Kronor annually. The Spendrups corporation includes the following subsidiaries: Spring Wine & Spirits, Gotlands Bryggeri and Hellefors Bryggeri. Job Specifications

Your responsibility is to lead the brewing and filter department, which includes the production of beer, personal management for a group of 10-15 employees, quality surveillance, technical development, projects, economy and annual budgeting. You will be a member of the Spendrups Processing Brewing Team in Grängesberg and report directly to the head-brewmaster in Grängesberg.

Job requirements

- academic degree from one of the leading brewing schools as Dipl.Braumeister, Dipl. Brauingenieur or equivalent
- experience as a brewmaster with responsibility for beer production of high standard
- leadership and managerial skills to lead a team
- previous economic responsibilities
- general computer skills
- skills in Botec /Proleit computer system is an advantage
- linguistic skills in English and German are required, should you also have some knowledge within one of the Scandinavian languages such as Danish, Swedish or Norwegian, it is a definite merit


Personal characteristic relevant for this job includes flexibility, analytical ability, structure and ability to prioritise accordingly, being open-minded to possibilities and hinders and a strong-will in order to achieve organisational goals. This is essential when combined with the necessary teamwork attributes.
