Brighth Development Engineer for Visibility Components at Scania

Brighth Development Engineer for Visibility Components at Scania

Arbetsbeskrivning

Scania is now undergoing a transformation from being a supplier of trucks, buses and engines to a supplier of complete and sustainable transport solutions.

We can provide you:

• Creative, Flexible, and Challenging tasks in a cross functional team working in a dynamic international environment.
• An interesting job in the frontline of product development on Scanias electrical vehicle platform.
• Special and deep Competence in the fields ranging from External and Interior Lighting to Sound and Signalling devices.
• The opportunity to be part of a creative and diverse team with a wide spread of engineering expertise.

Our unit within Visibility Components needs to grow as we head into the autonomous transport industry. Our team of engineers developing Light and Sound components need to expand with an Electrical, Mechanical, or Mechatronic Engineer.

Does it appeal to you to one day specify the requirements for the next generation lamps, horns, or speakers and the next day test prototypes in one of our labs or perhaps even evaluate our, or competitor's, products on the test track? If so, then we want to get in touch with you.

Scania is a prestigeous brand in the transport segment. Our customers are more than satisfied. Interior and exterior lighting components are part of the Scania brand expression and very much in focus both in media and on the roads. This we are very proud of. But we are even more proud of the engineers that make this happen.

About the position:
As a Development Engineer you work both independently and in a team of engineers with the next generation of our products. We work in an Agile development environment in order to focus and adapt to the current needs of the project.  If you want to take lead of a development project then there will be plenty of opportunities to do so. If you want to be a specialist and dig into the details, then that track is also open. We shape the future and the success of our products together.

We develop products from the drawing board to the assembly in a new vehicle. The engineering tasks allow cooperation over several interfaces where you may contribute in the fields of optics, electronics, mechanics, and production as well as collaboration with purchasing, marketing, sales, and quality units.

Your profile:
You have been working with electronics for a few years or you have a Master degree in electronics, mechanics or any other relevant area. Interaction with suppliers is often part of the daily work so you have both the social skills and some type of political instinct to feel comfortable visiting a supplier somewhere in the world. You have a drive to get things done in time and with known quality. You enjoy technical challenges and you probably have some projects going on at home within the field as well.

You speak and write English fluently and it is to your advantage to also speak and write Swedish.
