We believe that you have (in order of priority) 1. An academic degree within the area of Mechanical Engineering. 2. Good in engineering and design processes. 3. Experience in budgeting, time management, quality of design and workmanship and also have work experience from construction projects within the retail sector and from an international environment. 4. You are good in working with Microsoft office applications including Microsoft Project. 5. Fluency in spoken and written English is also required. And last but not least, you are passionate about the IKEA culture and values and the IKEA Brand, with a cost-conscious mind-set and simplicity close at heart.

About the job
The Building Services Engineering Manager has the task to ensure that specifications and guidelines for building services, presented in IKEA Group manuals and instructions, are up to date and relevant for the defined scope of works. This is achieved by reviewing existing documentation as well as existing performance criteria. Also, a responsibility to innovate and develop up to date specifications in line with technical developments in the market and IKEA business strategy.

Group construction is the matrix partner to Country Construction Departments.

About the Assignment
As Building Services Engineering Manager you will be reporting to the Group construction Manager and responsible for:

-Maintaining existing specifications and guidelines.
-Developing and innovating existing specifications and guidelines.
-Monitoring the developments in the field of building services.
-Communicating developments and improvements to end users.
-Reviewing and improving specification and guideline structure when needed.
-Providing specialist support and advice to country construction organisation within defined projects.
