Thermo Fisher Scientific is the world leader in serving science, with annual revenue exceeding $25 billion. No other company can match our range of customer touch points – technologically, geographically or commercially. We help our customers in finding cures for cancer, protecting the environment, making sure our food is safe and moving forward with thousands of important projects that improve millions of lives.
This position is based in Uppsala, where Thermo Fisher develops, manufactures, and markets complete blood test systems to support the clinical diagnosis and monitoring of allergy, asthma and autoimmune diseases. With 1,900 employees worldwide, and 1,000 in Sweden, we are the global leader in in-vitro allergy testing and the European leader in autoimmunity diagnostics.
BUSINESS ANALYST, UPPSALA SWEDEN
We are looking to strengthen our IT business team with an analytical and driven Business Analyst. The role is in Uppsala; however, you will work globally in a role that is between both Business and IT.
How will you make an impact?
In this role, you will often lead or participate in IT-related projects, advocate new IT-tools, and guide the business in their digital transformation. As we work in an international environment, travel is sometimes necessary as well as meetings outside of normal office hours.
The role will suit someone who is genuinely interested in IT and who enjoys staying up to date with advancements in the area. It is essential to communicate fluently in both Swedish and English.
What will you do?
Your interest in IT is probably not on the technical level, but mainly in the improvements, simplifications and efficiency enhancements that IT enables for the users. It comes natural for you to identify areas of improvement, to proactively propose appropriate measures and to drive improvements. You see change as an opportunity, not a threat, and you enjoy being a part of and prepare the business for tomorrow's challenges and demands.
What will you need?
Strong stakeholder management at all levels and happy to challenge the status quo when necessary.
Project management, preferably Agile methods.
Data analytics, including database interactions.
Familiar with modern communication and collaboration tools such as Planner, Teams and Power BI.
Preferable but not essential:
Experience of digital transformation in a quick paced business.
Process modeling and process improvement.
Requirement gathering and analysis.
We look forward to receiving your application, including a cover letter in English. Please apply via http://jobs.thermofisher.com/ (Ref:155082BR). Applications are reviewed during the process - please apply by 2 May 2021.
