Business Analyst

Business Analyst

Arbetsbeskrivning

We have an exciting opportunity for a young potential to join us as a Business Analyst reporting directly to the COO and working closely with several senior leaders of the company. The plan with this role is not to solve a direct need, but to build (you) for the future.

At Diakrit we have several people who started out in different roles and who are now senior leaders in our company. We have one Erik who started out as a Management trainee who today is the COO, another Erik who started in our call center and today leads our content production.

But you don’t have to be an Erik, you can be a Sahar who started as EA to our CEO and today leads Marketing or a Marcus that 12 years ago took the chance to work in our call center in Beijing and today leads a Customer Service team of 28 in Bangkok.

Diakrit has a lot of similar stories and is built on people who take initiative. So whatever your name is - we look for the next person ready to write their own story.

Could this be you?

You are a recent graduate or have a few years of working experience since graduation who want to gain international experience and find a company to grow in and with. With all the current Covid restrictions this role will initially be remote (from one of our 5 markets) but you are open to an international relocation over time - most likely to our head office in Bangkok.

We believe in hiring for attitude and train for skills and that’s why we keep this ad broad.

You will love this job if:

- You are curious, have a growth mindset and love to learn new things
- You’re a generalist and like to have an understanding of all pieces of a business and you like to dig into details to really understand how things work
- You have an easy time connecting with people and build relations
- You’re creative in the sense that you find your own solutions to problems and ways to do things
- Have a data-driven mindset and constantly seek to quantify solutions
- You see a computer as a tool to master for better efficiency, not a boring necessity
- You like to work with an international team and are ok to build relationships over communication tools and not necessarily face-to-face

And you'll hate this job if:

- You expect an outlined career path and want clarity in how your coming years will look
- You’re not open to moving internationally
- 9-5 is your thing. We will give you a lot of freedom to manage your time but being in a global role requires you to be flexible too.
- You want to be told how and when to do things and seeks managers approval for every little detail
- You see some tasks as beneath you and wait for others to do your job

What You Will Be Doing

We see your role divided into three major categories where depending on the current priorities and your strengths, the focus will change over time. The goal is for you to transfer into a more dedicated role within 12-24 months.

Development:

We want you to be exposed to all parts of the business and at the same time grow your toolbox. This means that you initially will be working alongside other people and help out different parts of our business while also becoming super-user in the tools we’re using.

Management support:

We see you as a future leader and helping management with admin tasks, planning etc. is a perfect opportunity to get exposure and learn. Big part of this is the definition of business requirements and decision making material.

Projects and project support:

There are constantly several projects, big and small, ongoing and you will be a valuable project support for larger projects while at the same time drive smaller initiatives and changes on your own.

Must-haves:

- Bachelor or a Masters Degree in Business, Finance or Engineering
- Excellent written and verbal English communication skills
- Good understanding of financial concepts and management accounting
- Efficient user of productivity suites such as Office or Google Suite (preferably G-suite)

Nice to have:

- Advanced user of spreadsheets
- MySQL knowledge
- Experience (academic or practical) in continuous improvement frameworks such as Lean, Six Sigma etc.
- Experience in the usage of BI systems
- Speaks one of the following languages (Swedish, Norwegian, Danish or Thai)
