We are looking for our next Business Analyst to join us and our great team!

In Business Navigation within Purchasing Development, you will be in the heart of IKEAs strategic decisions and support our leaders in analysis, business insights and facts. Your work will have a direct impact on 1 400 employees working globally with the supplier development for all IKEA products.

We are searching for a Business Analyst who is interested in data driven decision making and holds a passion for the Microsoft Power stack (Power BI, Power Query, Power Apps, Power Automate). You will work directly with business stakeholders throughout the development process to identify and refine requirements, develop wireframes, mockups, UI/UX design and prototypes. The wished position is to provide analysis and insights for data driven decision, in collaboration with team members around the world.

As a Business Analyst, you will in a team of Business Information / Navigation colleagues, contribute to the business priorities by enabling analytical and fact-based decision-making. You will combine your knowledge in analytics, statistics and mathematics with your business understanding to create predictive and prescriptive insights. You will analyze complex business challenges by using both internal and external data sources and formulate insights and analyses in a clear and simple way to meet business and receiver needs.

Your main responsibilities as a Business Analyst are to be in a core application development team, together with a colleague holding a similar skill set where you will be close to the global purchasing management. You are to contribute to portfolio management and drive the application development in close collaboration with other team members. The business stakeholders are spread across the globe where there is a business information network established for roll-out and end-user training towards more than 1 400 employees.

Furthermore, you will define the client’s business needs through context and an understanding of the big picture. Translate big picture ideas into highly specific technical requirements for tool development. Develop highly innovative solutions through automating complex, manual/semi-automated ETL processes in collaboration with a data warehouse team and build consumable Power BI reports and dashboards, meaning front-end and application development

This position is placed in Älmhult, Sweden.

To be successful in this role you need to have experience from a similar data analyst role and a degree in science, computer science, statistics, economics, mathematics, or similar quantitative discipline. You are experienced from working in a global environment and understand the complexity that it might bring.

You have experience in performing analysis with large datasets and have a high interest in the visual design of data through reports or presentations and how to express the message in a clear and inspiring way. You are aware of software engineering principles and practices and experienced in developing software including how to secure quality. The job requires skills in agile development methods and continuous integration, as well as experience in working in a rapidly changing environment.

You are a communicative person that values building strong relationships with colleagues and stakeholders and can explain complex topics in simple terms. We believe you have a sharp analytic & logical mindset and great problem-solving skills. You are passionate about delivering high quality software and great user experience. Your motivational driver relates to teamwork, stretching boundaries, challenging what already exists and a strive to develop better solutions. 

You are clear in your communication, verbally and in writing and have proven ability to develop high quality code using and applying good practices.    Leadership is everyone’s responsibility at IKEA.
