Business Analyst – CAD & MBD

Business Analyst – CAD & MBD

Arbetsbeskrivning

Scania is now undergoing a transformation from being a supplier of trucks, buses and engines to a supplier of complete and sustainable transport solutions.

Transforming the business into avoiding double work and making sure we increase speed and effectivity in our product lifecycle is key to our future success and to get there we are now looking for a central position in the Model Based Definition (MBD) Program at Scania. MBD is one of the key initiatives within Scania to increase the efficiency within product development and improve data quality.

The role

The role will belong to the value stream organisation for CAD/vPDM at R&D, but this role will mainly work in the core team of the MBD program, and you will therefore cover many of the business areas at Scania.

You will lead and drive the method development for MBD and support the knowledge transfer within the program team. MBD addresses users both in R&D and P&L (Production&Logistics) as well as organisations linked to our suppliers, such as purchasing and the service rmarket.

Within the team you will take on the role as Business Analyst and be a vital part of the delivery organisation that develops the CAD/vPDM software platform. We are currently using CATIA/ENOVIA V5, so any experience in these tools are a plus. We use agile ways of working in close cooperation with the IT organisation. The combination of a mechanical background with an interest for method development will be important in this role. You will have a continuous dialogue with project stakeholders, project members, system users, architects, suppliers and other stakeholders. You will be responsible for setting up future ways of working and your work can really impact the future for many users of our systems as well as for Scania.

Your profile

The role requires good knowledge in mechanical design in CATIA V5 or similar. It also requires basic skills in agile methods, and the ability to act as the enabler of a good communication within a large program or project team. Understanding of MBD can be provided from Scania, but any background in this area will be highly valued.

For this role, we want somebody that can lead the work independently and understand how a delivery in the project should be rolled out in the business. You are not afraid to participate in a large project and lead a discipline or sub project or have expertise in rolling out new methods or new ways of working from a project to the line organisation.

This is a possibility to participate in one of Scania’s most important, interesting and challenging projects at the moment and really make a difference for end users.

Previous experience from Scania is a plus. You need to be able to communicate in both Swedish and English.
