At Finance, you are part of a global team that drives business performance to realize the objectives set out in Volvo Cars Corporate Strategy. You act in cooperation with colleagues in other business units world-wide, you and your team provide financial expertise and guidance. At finance, you can push your own professional skills and drive change.

We are looking for a new team member as, Business Analyst to Cars & Strategy Finance team.
The Cars & Strategy finance team is responsible for the profitability analysis for all future car programs and we perform all cycle plan and other strategic financial analysis needed for management to decide upon our future plans. The team also gives input to the central financial planning process when it comes to future outlooks. Cars & Strategy is a part of Product Creation.


What you will do
As Business Analyst you will be active in strategic analysis needed to optimize our plans towards future profitability. You will be part of a finance team full of business expertise, all focusing their time on strategic carline matters.


You and your skills
To enhance our team we are looking for a business analyst with super strong analytical skills and with a solid knowledge of handling big amounts of data in a modern way. For instance, setting up and working with Power BI dashboards and databases is easy for you.

You need to have a good grasp of statistics, mathematical modeling and advanced analytics. We believe you are used to working with SQL databases and often leverage the power of Python in order to automate otherwise manual tasks and create insightful reports. In this role you will apply your analytical skills to a broad array of product and business opportunities, with qualitative data, to deepen our understanding of our future products and consumers.

To bring the team forward you will analyze and visualize trends and proactively initiate strategic analysis based on you own drive and curiosity but also based on discussions with the operations. And to achieve this, you need to be solution oriented and tech savvy.

All in all, we highly value your ability to use facts together with business acumen in order to drive the change needed. Thus, being a true team player with strong collaboration and communication skills is of key importance. As an individual, you are curious, energetic, embracing change, able to motivate others and with a great drive to succeed. Fluency in English, both written and spoken is also required.
