WHO YOU ARE
We are looking for a Business Analyst to join us in the creation of useful and actionable insights to support IKEA in strategic decision making, using traditional and advanced analytical techniques.
Our diverse and global team within Decision Intelligence is growing and we would love to talk with you, if you recognize yourself in the following:
Data Processing
You know how to “wrangle” data. You feel equally comfortable extracting data from databases, text files, web-based dashboards as well as unstructured data. You also gather information from communication with co-workers. You give priority to the quality of the data.
Analyze Data
You use coding to conduct data analyses and draw conclusions. You adapt the type of analysis to the topic in question, running statistical tests and developing predictive models to provide better insights.
Visualize Data
Storytelling through data visualization is a vital component of your work. You know what charts should be accompanying the analysis to summarize and illustrate the most important data. And you are very skillful in creating those charts using business intelligence products.
Written Communication
You communicate data insights in an easy way and can summarize in few sentences a complex idea without trivializing it.
YOU NEED:
- Minimum 5 years of experience in data analysis and reporting (retail and e-commerce is a plus)
- Good skills in scripting languages (preferably Python)
- Extensive experience querying SQL databases or other tools, such as Google Big Query
- Broad knowledge of business intelligence products (for example, Power BI, Qlik)
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
Furthermore, you are
- A curious, world class, problem solver with a hacker mindset who wants to keep learning!
- A team player who takes ownership, builds cross-functional relationships with co-workers, and loves sharing knowledge.
YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES
In your role as Business Analyst, you use your domain experience to:
Identify story angles within the data to inform the business about significant happenings.
Create and collaborate in the publication of our “news” for any relevant case.
Contribute to the periodical report of standard figures and developing dashboards.
Furthermore, you drive an open and sharing climate, being a role model of the IKEA values.
ABOUT THIS WORK AREA
We’re the ones who make it possible for people to have a smarter life at home and a hassle-free and rewarding shopping experience. Together we work to find new digital solutions for every business need to help make IKEA a great and efficient place to work. We like to think of ourselves as innovative and modern, and we believe that nothing would actually work without us.
