Technology is a new function within Group Digital & IT with a big stake in the Group’s digital transformation. We will modernize Volvo’s core digital backbone making it a platform for digital products. Our Foundational IT products are used by digital product teams and enable them and their products to outperform Volvo’s competitors. Our digital talents develop capabilities and digital technologies to improve business performance and create value for the Group with speed and at scale.
We collaborate with other parts of the organization, both in Group Digital & IT and other Group Functions. We foster an environment where ideas, thoughts and opinions can be shared. We are team players with clear common ambitions, and we win together!
In this position you will be part of the Service Market Logistics solution center in the Core Platform Area Supply Chain and Purchasing. We are a global organization with 600 people located in Asia, Americas and Europe.
What you get to do in this role
Your key objective is to work closely with Head of CPA Supply Chain & Purchasing, Head of CPA SML and the rest of the management team with support in running the day-to-day business. You will be running unit strategy processes, strategy execution and represent function in strategic initiatives. You enjoy high autonomy, empowerment and travel in a global organization. You will develop learnings and insight into the exciting and complex Supply Chain and Procurement businesses of Volvo Group
This means that one day won’t look the same as the other, here are some of the tasks you will assist with:
Preparing and coordinating management meeting materials
Prepare internal and external communication, manage plan and content
Drive unit performance management
Drive business development activities
Ensure timely execution and follow up on items
Drive cross function initiatives
To be successful in this role you have
We are looking for you who can create order out of chaos. You are positive, energetic and creative. You enjoy a day full of activity where you get to take action and prioritize in order to meet the demands of the business. You are comfortable with using Microsoft 365 and Excel. We believe you have an interest in Tech and IT and want to deepen your knowledge. You demonstrate excellent communication skills, and you are comfortable in cross functional/ multi-cultural environments.
In addition to what’s stated above, you should have:
University degree, M.SC (or bachelor) in Business Administration, Industrial engineering or similar
Ideally you have worked in a similar position before
You are fluent in English, verbally and written
Strong analytical and project management skills
Proactive, driving forward to improve things with high level of urgency
You will be located in Gothenburg, Sweden.
