Arbetsbeskrivning
Scania is now undergoing a transformation from being a supplier of trucks, buses and engines to a supplier of complete and sustainable transport solutions.
Do you want to work in a dynamic, commercial and international environment with great development possibilities? Do you have an interest and required knowledge to understand the financial performance of our current and potential suppliers? Then Scania Purchasing and specifically Business Control and Analysis at Scania Purchasing could be the next step in your career!
The task
Within Business Control and Analysis (SZ), we have spent a lot of time together defining our role as a department. The conclusion is the following:
We enable better business!
Through dedicated people, with diverse perspectives, we shall provide the Purchasing management, as well as purchasing employees, with support and expertise.
The analysts should support and guide our purchasers by monitoring Scania’s suppliers’ financial status, not only at nomination, but also over time.
Above mentioned strategy statement means that you as an analyst will analyse the Income Statement and Balance Sheet of our potential and current suppliers to make sure that we do business with healthy suppliers. Your input will be a vital part in our sourcing decisions. “Support” means everything from managing a factoring solution with SEB to providing purchasers (on request) with inflation rates for the last five years for Estonia. It is with other words a wide variety of adhoc questions.
Will you be the perfect match? Please apply!
Who are we?
SZ is a department within purchasing standing on two legs; traditional Business Control (7) and analysis (2) of current and potential suppliers. I am now looking to recruit an analyst when one is leaving for parental leave.
We are a diverse team in many aspects who enjoy working closely together. We enjoy solving problems both within the small team of analysts and in our bigger “SZ-team”. As a support function, it’s natural to work close to our purchasing operation as well as our cross-functions within finance.
Me-the recruiting manager
I am 41 years old and have worked at Scania Purchasing for almost five years and at Scania for close to 18 years. I have my background within production where I have been Head controller for Chassis & Cabs and Financial manager for our Reginal Product Centres to mention two positions I have had. Important for me when it comes to leadership is that I get everyone in my team onboard doing their outmost for Scania. I am transparent with information and require commitment and an open dialogue with people working for me. We should reach our targets and have lots of fun on the way. Our ESB-result shows that it’s possible to combine those two.
Who are you?
I think that you have a university degree within engineering (Industrial Finance) or finance and 3 years+ experience from controlling or accounting. You are in expert level in Excel and if you have experience from Power BI and QlikView it will be seen as an advantage but most important is that you have a drive and can plan your day and prioritize to meet deadlines.
The environment at purchasing is international so you need to be fluent in spoken and written English.
Is your attitude like “How can I help you in the most effective way?” or “I don’t have the perfect answer, but I will find it for you!”? Above mentioned together with that a Balance Sheet and an Income Statement is your home turf?
Am I describing you? Please send in your application to join the SZ-team!
