As part of Supplier Management team, you will be orchestrating management of the Supplier relation in an efficient manner together with Purchasing, Line organization and customers. As a team we secure Connected Solutions with external resources accordingly to Workforce Plan needs. We actively develop and facilitate Supplier strategy in our main Domains. We follow up of supplier spend in VGCS per area. We have early involvement in make or buy decisions and build Telecom center of excellence.
We are now looking for a Business Analyst within the telecom area. In this role you will work over the full life cycle of telecom at Connected Solutions.
The role
You will in this role handle subscription management, follow up of cost and quality of service and be part of implementing technical changes at Connected Solutions. These changes are driven both by changes in or supplier´s technical stack and from our internal demands. Typical tasks would be in the following areas;
SIM card Subscription Management
Subscription Monitoring & Optimization
Cost break down
Technical support during contract negotiations
Drive service improvements through technical implementations
Give support internally to Connected Solutions and externally within Volvo Group
Your profile
You have an open mindset and can work with both routine tasks and more challenging tasks when implementing new services in our organization. We see that you have a strong technical background in connectivity. It is an extra plus if you have experience from negotiations with mobile network operators.
TECHNICAL KNOWLEDGE:
Basic knowledge in networking, transport protocols and standards.
Intermediate/good knowledge in cellular network technology
Intermediate/good knowledge of main lifecycle process of telco subscriptions
OTHER SKILLS:
Supplier management:
Coordinate relationship with the supplier and together with internal Volvo purchasing departments
Support managing the contract lifecycle (i.e. renew, amend, …), conduct business meetings of strategic/tactical/operational
Solution lifecycle management:
Support the overall solution from both technical and cost perspectives
Formulate yearly budget (for SIM card communication costs) and follow-up
Support, together with VGCS Domain Teams, the creation and maintenance of a technical roadmap for the solution aligned with TISP requirements
Support coordination of run-time, both from a support desk perspective, but also from a change management perspective (interface with internal VGCS Key Accounts/Product Owners to notify and coordinate changes)
Order management: coordinate ordering and delivery of new and change of services – such as VPNs, APNs, SMSC accounts, etc.
Excellent communication skills in English
Basic project management and requirement management knowledge
