What we offer?
In our cluster/ART Insights and Product Development support (IPDS) at R&D Digital, we are now hiring a Business Analyst in the Planning & Issue Management (P&IM) Team.
This team is working with enabling backlog management, team collaboration and planning at Volvo Cars with digital tools and solutions. The team is using a wide array of technologies and platforms and the stakeholders are spread out both internally within Volvo Cars and externally at our partners.
The cluster consists of 8 different products where Product Owners, Scrum Masters and teams work alongside according to the agile framework SAFe to deliver value to the Products that are aligned to the architectural runway.
What you’ll do
As a Business analyst you enable product success by working as a liaison among different stakeholders to understand the customer benefits and needs, and by supporting backlog refinement in accordance with the Product Owner’s and the team's agenda.
Your responsibilities will be to facilitate a grounded way of working with focus on business value and excellent user experience.
You will also support the Product Owner in the exploration phase of the new capabilities coming in from stakeholders or architects. You will analyze and break down business needs, including impact mapping and dependency analysis. To achieve this, you will need to work closely with the Product Owner and the team to support growth of the products, the teams’ vision and make sure it’s in line with the architects’ runway. Essentially, making sure the capabilities are well understood before they are ready for PI.
There are also great opportunities to work on a higher level in the cluster with cross-collaboration between our different teams, and help out where’s needed.
Do you fit the profile?
We believe that you have:
▪ Experience in SAFe, Scrum, and writing epics, features, and stories in an effective format.
▪ The ability to pinpoint value creating activities in relation to a vision.
▪ Servant leadership skills in complex situations to achieve great, holistic results.
▪ Analytical Skills – the ability to conceptualize and visualize gathered information in a structured and pedagogic way.
▪ Critical thinking and problem solving - the ability to evaluate and examine a situation from different parties’ perspectives so that everyone involved understands and then holistically create a base for decision making.
Moreover, we believe that you have the ability to understand customer/end user needs and then convey them into backlog items that enables the team delivery. You have experience in the UX Process and the User journey. You have the capability to define the business value of the product area value and surrounding value streams. Lastly, it is natural for you to collaborate, facilitate and delegate to involve and engage stakeholders and team members to create ownership and gain results.
