Now is an exciting time to join our team at Scania Purchasing as we are currently looking for a Business Analyst. If you want to work in a dynamic and international environment together with ambitious colleagues, you are the one!
Your responsibility
In your role as Business Analyst, you will work closely with and support the global Purchasing organization with analyses and strategic information, as well as collaborating with other departments within Scania, such as Risk Management, Legal, Treasury, and Corporate Control. The work consists of financial supplier analyses, but also analyses of raw material prices and projects to identify commercial potential within Purchasing. Furthermore, there is a shared responsibility with Treasury for Supply Chain Financing, a collaboration with SEB where Scania offers suppliers a payment solution. There is also a collaboration within the Volkswagen Group concerning risk management which is important.
Your tasks mainly consist of supporting the Purchasing department with financial information and analyses, drawing the right conclusions as well as presenting them in an educational and clear way, so that the Purchasing Management can make the right decisions. You will be involved as support during negotiations, present information regarding the Business Analysis competence area, work with development and improvement as well as hold and develop internal courses.
Your profile
To succeed in this role, you need good analytical abilities and communication skills. You will work in an international context, which is why English skills are required. As you will have the entire Scania Purchasing organization as your point of contact, it is important that you are outgoing and customer-oriented, and enjoy developing and maintaining a large network.
You will be a part of a small team of Business Analysts, where your role includes a lot of personal responsibility. Your assignments require you to be independent, goal-oriented, and structured. In a support function like ours, it is also important to be able to prioritize among customers’ wishes to provide maximum benefit to Scania and the bigger picture.
Your educational background and experiences may vary, but you probably hold a University degree in Economics and have an interest in technology, or maybe a degree in Engineering with a specialization in economics. We also believe you have a few years of working experience related to a position as Business Analyst. Your skills in Excel must be excellent, skills in PowerBI or Qlikview are seen as strongly meritorious.
