Let us describe the challenge we offer
We have an exciting opportunity at Polestar as a Business- and Program Controller who can work within a fast-paced and dynamic scale-up organization. You will play an important role in the Program team and global finance team supporting Polestar in its growth and expansion. In this finance role, you are a member of a dynamic and developing team. You will be working closely with future car projects, with the development team and program business team in Polestar. This role is key to steer the profitability of our future products.
This position is located in Gothenburg.
What you'll do
Your main responsibility is to be the finance voice in the technical and business program team. In the program team you will be responsible to lead and run cost activities for future products material cost, investments and engineering spend. Your key objective is to create quality assured inputs to our business case calculations to be used as base in vehicle programs and corporate decisions. You will direct report to the Head of Program Finance and dotted line to Industrial program leader at R&D.
Examples of tasks are:
Lead, plan and quality assure major deliverables within the car project
Drive Benchmark activities in cost and investment levels.
Controlling of and challenge variable cost and investments
Understand, explain and visualize deviations.
Prepare and present business cases
Who you are
We think that you are a person with a lot of energy and broad experience in material cost and investments. If you have previous experience from automotive that is a strong advantage. You like to be involved in details but also being the one that understands the big picture. In this role communication is key, being the central orbit for all things finance related and being able to interpret and communicate financial information into decision items in a clear and concise way.
Other important skills for this role:
- Bachelor’s degree in business administration (or similar)
- Minimum 5 years work experience
- Strong team player and excellent communicator
- Very good financial knowledge and analytical skills
- Strong self-leadership
