Arbetsbeskrivning
Scania is now undergoing a transformation from being a supplier of trucks, buses and engines to a supplier of complete and sustainable transport solutions. Transforming the business into avoiding double work and making sure we increase speed and effectivity in our product lifecycle is key to our future success and to get there we are now looking for a central position in the value stream organisation for CAD/vPDM at Scania R&D.
The responsibility and focus for the organisation is mainly to work with demand and business requirements for processes, methods and IT solutions within the CAD/vPDM area. The key to success is that we through good contacts have gathered big understanding of all needs from the businesses and are able to refine these demands into clear requirements. This requires that we are well aware of our customers way of working in processes and methods and their need of support with IT tools. The next big challenge in the organisation is to move from the current CAD/vPDM platform to a new future platform that will support the core Scania processes with CAD/vPDM (program Starling).
You will be part of the factory that develops the CAD/vPDM platform with the role Business Architect. As part of the architectural team in the project your assignment will be to support the main Business Architect in the Starling program with architectural tasks, strategies on the as-is to to-be scenario and administrative work which the team is responsible for. This to assure that the Starling project gets the best conditions to be successful.
The role requires good knowledge in mechanical design in CATIA V5 or similar. It also requires basic skills in agile methods, and the ability to act as the enabler of a good communication within a large program or project team. Understanding 3DX (width before depth) to be able to discuss the mapping As-Is <=> To-be will be highly valued.
You will:
• Support in basic architecture work with:
• the logical data model (ie R-F-L, not system technical)
• Cross-functional view including "Sales-Design-Production-Service"
• Support in modelling the Target Architecture:
• Information Flow Description
• Functional descriptions
• Application
• System & Infrastructure on a high level
Previous experience from Scania is a plus. You need to be able to communicate in both Swedish and English.
