Sandvik Manufacturing Solutions is a business area segment within Sandvik Group – with revenues that will reach a run-rate of over 2 billion SEK by the end of 2021 and around 1500 people worldwide incorporating the three divisions of Design & Planning Automation, Additive Manufacturing and Metrology. Areas where we hold leading market positions and are uniquely positioned due to our extensive industrial experience and expertise in advanced materials, materials shaping and digital solutions. The job
As a Business Area Segment General Counsel, you work closely together with the business and is determined to play its part in the Sandvik Shift Strategy. You are further responsible for empowering the business to take informed and balanced decisions across all legal disciplines, by providing qualitative legal advice and proactively assessing and mitigating key risks of our business in line with the Sandvik Way. This requires accuracy, a strong ethical compass and a curious business mind. Our work spans across many legal disciplines as we aim to merge stakeholder expectations with applicable laws and regulatory requirements. To be more specific, you’ll be actively engaged and manage all legal aspects of the business area segment’s M&A transactions and a variety of commercial agreements, negotiations, legal documents, correspondence and governance. You support our business with legal training, processes and tools. This role is also responsible for coordinating the Compliance work for the business area segment in close cooperation with the legal team within the SMS business area and the Sandvik Group Legal team. Looking ahead there are many more interesting tasks and projects for you as we develop and grow our business in other vital areas such as the digital space.

You report to our Business Area segment CFO, have a dotted line to Sandvik Group’s Executive Vice President and General Counsel, and you’ll be part of the Sandvik Group’s Legal Management Team. This role is preferably located at our Stockholm office “Gasverket”. Some global travel will also be included in your job from time to time.
Your character
You hold a master’s degree in law (LL M or equivalent) and have at least five years’ work experience from a reputable business law firm or within a corporate in-house legal organization. You’ve got both the confidence and ability to act independently and are very interested in deepening your knowledge of our market and the legal landscape that we’re facing. Experience within M&As and other cross border transactions, commercial agreements and litigations, general corporate law, along with digitalization are true benefits. Any previous contact with legal matters connected to the digital industrial - is another merit. You need excellent communication skills in English, while knowledge of Swedish is a plus.

With a practical, structured and detailed mindset, you’re able to prioritize and multitask and you have what it takes to move forward and get things done.
