Business Control Developer

We are looking for a development-oriented finance professional, with a passion for driving improvements of data analytics and visualization, to join our team at Group Business Control.


Group Business Control is a part of the Group Reporting, Tax and Control function at Volvo Group Headquarters. Group Reporting, Tax & Control is responsible for the overall Volvo Group financial management and to ensure financial reporting, develop the finance function and the financial steering model as well as conduct business control of the Group.


At Group Business Control we support our top management, Executive Board and Board of Directors with holistic analyses and presentations on the group’s financial performance in closings and estimates as well as in ad-hoc analyses. We work closely together with our Business Control colleagues in other parts of the Group as well as other finance functions. We are a key stakeholder in supporting the Volvo Groups strategy and develop the financial models and principles for the Group both now and for the future. Group Business Control is also responsible for the common financial policies and principles in the Volvo Group and for developing performance management, financial planning, and investments.


We are now looking for a Business Control Developer who can take lead in developing and improving our processes from a Group controlling perspective. You will be a key user in driving digitalization within our team together with other colleagues and partners, and you will be responsible to develop both the analysis and the presentation of financial information. In this role you will report to the VP & Head of Group Business Control.


Who are you?


You will be a key contributor on the digitalization journey of the finance function in the Volvo Group.


Therefore, you have a University degree in Business Administration or similar combined with previous experience in data analytics, visualization, BI Tools and Oracle Essbase. It´s a plus if you have a consultancy or project background or previous experience from working in a finance function.


To be successful in this role you have a digital mindset, are good with numbers and data as well as storytelling. We believe an open and service-minded personality combined with analytical and strong communication skills are key success factors. You work with high integrity in order to gain trust. In addition, you are a proactive team player with a can-do attitude and an ability to both lead and support in various tasks. You are fully proficient in both written and spoken English.
