The sales areas within Sandvik Coromant are dedicated to offer excellent services to our customers, while ensuring both sales efficiency and growth, and we do this by using modern sales processes and tools. Now we are looking for an experienced and influential Business Control Manager to join us in Sales Area North Europe – someone who is eager to support our management team in building the foundation for strong business control, as well as excellent performance management!
Briefly about the job
In this position, you are a key player in the Sales Area management team as you support our efforts to reach the overall operational and financial goals. With the financial perspective on operational issues and commitment to a business mindset, you use your expertise to back key decision with fact-based analyses and simulations. Actively driving strong performance management and participating in the development of business strategies and plans, are important matters in this job, and you ensure structured ways of working when identifying improvement potential, setting targets, agreeing upon activities and following up on results.
Building strong networks and partnering with key stakeholder and functions within Sandvik Coromant, are crucial elements to succeed in this role. You are our representative in the global Business Control team and ensure implementation of global initiatives within Sales Area North Europe. As we operate internationally, local recipes and cultural differences are natural parts in our operations, and you ensure synchronization with the global setup. You also contribute to the Business Control community by sharing knowledge and good practices, and by supporting competence development.
In this this position, you will have the opportunity to be based within any of the clusters in the Sales Area, covering the Nordic countries, UK/Ireland and Russia. Regular travel is a natural part of the job.
And what about you?
We are looking for someone with experience from working in a similar role as a business controller and who has acted within a matrix setting. It is also beneficial if you have experience from businesses in different countries within the relevant Sales Area, especially Russia. This job requires the ability to deal effectively with internal stakeholders on local, regional and global levels, as well as to balance quick business decisions with proper risk management and clearly communicate the impact on the business, the customers and/or the employees. You also need the ability to challenge current ways of working, promote new initiatives and initiate actions, and as a talented change leader, you keep your stakeholders motivated during the change process.
It is great if you have an understanding of working with global strategies and how to translate them into day-to-day activities. Naturally, you should have a high proficiency in Office 365 applications, particularly Excel, and as we are a global player, you must read, write and speak English fluently.
