Sandvik Coromant, and our finance organization within Supply, is responsible for the development and operations of financial and performance management processes – meaning that we drive performance from a financial perspective through analysis, support and active engagement in production management teams.
We’re now looking for a Business Control Process Expert to lead us along the transformation journey of implementing modern business and financial processes in our Enterprise Business Platform (EBP) Seamless Program. Your mission
In this position, you’re an important link between the project and our users within the EBP Seamless Program from a finance point of view. To be more specific, you ensure that the implementation of business and financial processes within the IT application area are done according to common requirements and benefit from all possibilities of the Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) system. You team up with our Project Manager and take part in workshops to define requirements, detailed designs and configurations of our finance processes, and then you validate them with our end user community. Together with our Global Financial Control team and our production units, you implement, maintain and upgrade the ERP modules, and suggest solutions based on quality, time and budgets. You also contribute in testing, and you look at potential gaps and provide support to correct any production issues - such as stock valuation, product cost and variances calculation - that might occur along the way.
In line with our business strategy, you take lead in the journey towards a common business platform within Supply, and you ensure alignment to achieve global and optimal end-to-end financial processes with as few local adoptions as possible. To succeed with your mission, you closely collaborate with the global business process team and you manage all activities and scenarios included in your scope of responsibility – all the way from gathering initial business requirements, through to process specification and user acceptance of delivered solutions.
The location for this position is flexible, with a preference for Sandviken or another one of our global production sites, and international travel is normally a natural part of the job.
Your background and character
You have a broad business background, where you ideally have been working with a mix of finance processes and IT setups. Experience from business or production controlling is needed, as well as a thorough understanding of the connection points between finance and IT and the ability to interact and discuss with IT developers. You’re skilled in defining, driving and rolling out transformation and change programs and you have experience from leading positions with both direct and indirect reporting lines. Knowledge of ERP software and SAP is a clear advantage, and you have a relevant academic degree, most likely within Business, Finance or IT. We’re represented worldwide, and this means that you also need to be fluent in both written and verbal English.
