Business Controller
We are looking for a Business Controller to our Uptime and some HQ functions. You will be the financial counterpart for our uptime operations and be leading the financial reporting together with the controlling team. You will be a key player in our budget, forecast and business plan process for the European market. The role is based in Gothenburg and reports to the Director Controlling.
What you'll do
You will be the controller for the Uptime department and some HQ functions, where most of your time will be spent with Uptime matters. In the area of aftersales our Uptime team is removing the pain-points of having/using a car, turning the complete business model around. The focus is to keep the car uptime high, in a cost-efficient way by ensuring excellent serviceability, service information, tools & systems, spare parts, technical training and maintaining the car quality in the market.
Besides Uptime you will cover HQ functions, including Purchasing, Legal, HR, Finance, payment solutions, facilities etc. In monthly closings you will overview the full European picture and be the bridge between controlling and the Accounting department in accounting related subjects and play a key role in our budget process.
- Be the financial sounding board for the Uptime department and be part of the Uptime management team and work closely with the VP Uptime
- Warranty flows & costs (processes, budget, actuals and claims)
- Planning and follow up on all quality related items
- Business cases for sales of intra group consultancy services
- Budget, forecast and monthly closing for your areas (Uptime and HQ functions)
- Develope our internal financials reports (IS & BS) / presentations and be involved in our monthly reporting to our owners
- Analyze the full European picture cross countries and departments
What you should have
- Solid financial knowledge within accounting and relevant experience from financial analysis
- Preferably an interest in automotive & engineering subjects
- Analytical abilities with the capability to communicate (sometimes) complex information in an easy and understandable way.
- The ability to handle large amounts of data in a structured way to find opportunities (and one or two problems) from different perspectives.
- Structure and a meticulous way of working and a team player
- Excel skill level high
- Can-do mentality
- Preferably experience for building/developing financial reports in any BI tool (Power Bi, Qlik, Mercur, SAP Fiori or similar)
