Business Controller

As a Business Controller you will work operationally as the business partner supporting the Head of the Product Unit and the project managers at one of the Product Units within the Business Unit Combat Systems. You will be a part of the Product Unit's Management Team.



Your Role



Your main responsibility will be to interact with our projects from a finance perspective and create an understanding of the financial aspects, enable early detection of risks and opportunities leading to successful execution of our projects. You will be an active member in the finance team and you will report to Head of Business Control for Business Unit Combat Systems.



You will work closely together with operations, projects and tender teams. Work to find problems and to turn those into opportunities. Be active as early as possible regarding information on changing conditions, which has an effect on the business, and thus be able to give "early warnings" to avoid surprises. You manage monthly reporting, budget & forecasts within the Product Unit.



The key responsibilities will include:

* Interact with our projects from a finance perspective
* Analytical thinking, being proactive and having the ability to challenge the operation within the finance area
* Actively take part in the development of the Finance team
* Financial planning, forecasts and reporting
* Ensuring cost awareness within the Product Unit
* Analyze and identify risks, challenges and opportunities, give proposals for improvements



Your profile



The role is strategic with a long-term and stable perspective. We are looking for a Business Controller that has:

* Good communication skills and the ability to cooperate well with others.
* High integrity and the ability to motivate others and to have analytic and pedagogical skills to understand and explain financial conditions.
* The ability to combine strategic thinking with the control of details.

* A strong drive and a high level of curiosity about the organization, our products, customers and projects.



You should also be business oriented and have a bachelor degree in Finance.

As we act in a global environment, experience of business control within a global environment is advantageous, and you must communicate fluently in English, both verbally and in writing. You have excellent knowledge of financial reporting and data analysis tools, particularly Excel and Power Point. Good knowledge of accounting systems, like Agresso, is valuable.



This position requires that you pass a security vetting based on the current regulations around/of security protection. For positions requiring security clearance additional obligations on citizenship may apply.

The Business Area Surveillance has four Business Units and provides efficient solutions for safety and security, for surveillance and decision support, and for threat detection and protection. The portfolio covers airborne, ground-based and naval radar, electronic warfare, combat systems and traffic management.



You will be a part of Business Unit Combat Systems, which develops advanced defense and security systems for domestic and international markets. Our intuitive real-time command and control; command support; security and surveillance; and mixed reality applications are designed to adapt to today's rapidly changing defense and security challenges. We develop technology that pushes boundaries and breaks conventions to keep people and society safe. We operate globally with local sites in Sweden, Australia and Denmark.
