Business Controller
Service Market Logistics (SML) is a global organization present in more than 30 countries and 3800 engaged employees. We ensure the highest possible spare parts availability everywhere in the world for all brands in Volvo Group. We design the service market supply chain up to the dealer’s inventory in terms of material planning and footprint. What we do every day has a direct impact on the satisfaction of Volvo Group customers.
We are in an exciting transformation and digitalization phase, introducing new technologies and competences to improve our performance. This is where you come in. We need someone who can help us create transparency in our financial performance, together with your team and network.
In this role, you will be a part of the SML Financial Performance & Control Team. We are very proud to be collaborative and supportive as a team, and of our strong improvement record, but we are also curious and in the forefront of the opportunities that the digitalization journey provides. We’d like to see the same characteristics in you!
Main Activities and Responsibilities
Your main mission will be to create transparency in our financial performance. To create this transparency, you and your team and network will have some key challenges and focus areas:
Financial stability – Secure a stable base to understand the overall financial performance
Analytic capability – Explore financial data in an efficient way for information purposes
Story telling – Take the information analyzed and make it into something actionable
Closings and estimates are of course important deliveries, but most work is done in between to improve our processes and understand our business. A closing should not be a surprise.
We strongly believe that you are not only responsible for your day-to-day deliveries, but also responsible for improving the way we work, grow as an induvial and help your colleagues to grow.
Essential Experience, Skills and Competencies
We know that no one knows everything. Therefore, we strongly believe in the power of a team, building on each other’s strengths and competencies. As a team we can go wherever we want to go. We also believe that in a diverse and collaborative environment, we learn and grow. So, if you are not ‘ticking all boxes’, don’t worry. To fit into this culture you should be a team player and have a growth mindset, to develop yourself as well as your peers.
There are three areas where we will look for strengths that you can bring to us as a team:
Financial – Financial acumen in global organizations to secure stability and compliance.
Business – Logistics, distribution or service sales competences to put financials into context
Digitalization – BI, Office automation, ML etc. supporting a data-to-information journey.
If you think this job and culture sounds as interesting as we do – please apply!
