Business Controller

In the role as Cost Controller, you manage cost controlling of Outokumpu Avesta´s monthly closing related activities, appointed controlling related tasks and act Business partner for one of our departments within the site.

About the role
Responsible for Cost center and cost element planning & optimization of the production and related functional costs
Coordination of budgeting work with different production teams and related functional costs
Monthly follow-up of cost actualization vs. target and forecasts, analysis of reasons for deviations and initiating mitigating measures in cooperation with production employees
Participating in monthly follow-up meetings, building cost awareness across the production teams
Turn investment initiatives into financial business cases and validate value creation potential & post-project actuals
Support effective risk management & internal controls in site departments & functions
Investment and maintenance budget planning and follow-up
Monthly cost and KPI development report build-up
Initiate & participate in continuous improvements within the role and act Project support for departments


About you
Bachelor´s or Master´s degree in finance, economics, or engineering, or equivalent
Several years of experience in similar role
Experience in budgeting, manufacturing strategies & concepts
You are analytical and detail-oriented and have an understanding for controlling and business connections
Thriven by personal development and ability to communicate and cooperate with colleagues and other departments
Deep knowledge in Microsoft Office (Excel), previous experience in SAP & POBI is advantage
Fluent in Swedish and English, both written and spoken
