This will be us - your new colleagues within Finance


Undoubtedly, Finance is an interesting place to be especially during periods of change and transformation. We provide the financial information and analyses required to operate effectively and efficiently and to support business planning and decision-making.
The function works closely together and with other parts of the organization, both in Group Digital & IT organization as well as with the other Digital & IT and the Finance communities in the Group.


The finance function consists of appr 60 professionals located world-wide. The function is divided in departments and are performing overall business control activities of Volvo Group Digital & IT and managing the financial interaction with the Volvo Group counterparts. It includes follow-up, planning and estimates of IT cost and deliveries. We also closely interact with and provide financial advice/support to management and managers in the Volvo Group Digital & IT organization as well as contributing to the overall transformation of Volvo Group.


We are searching for an experience business controller to be part of our team and to proactively participating and contributing in business controlling activities in respective areas of responsibilities.


Main activities and responsibilities
Business controlling of Volvo Group Digital & IT
Perform proactive controlling and drive cost awareness to achieve short- and long-term financial targets
Drive Business Control activities related to areas/functions of Volvo Group Digital & IT
Manage financial interactions with Group Digital & IT stakeholders
Secure financial follow up with a transparent structure, excellent visualization and high quality
Support decision-making in providing relevant and thorough financial analysis and insights
Lead planning and estimate process within served areas/functions and secure target fulfillment
With a high degree of pro-activity, support in securing that financial targets/plans are met

Who are you?


You have several years of proven experience as a business controller. You will actively cooperate with management and various stakeholders and navigate with ease in a multi-cultural environment. You have a strategic and long-term mind set thinking in everything you do. You have excellent skills in telling a story based on financial information in a way that is understood and actionable for management. You can with ease shift between having good insights in financial statistics to out-side-in perspective.


As a business controller, you are highly involved in creating an efficient and trustful day-to-day operation.


To be successful in your role you need to have following experience/capabilities:
Experience in Business controlling
Experience in business and/or management team interaction
Strong personal drive and desire to get the job done
Strategic thinking with a creative mind
Excellent visualization, communication & presentations skills
Ability to establish and maintain good relations
Strong logic and analytical skills
Have a positive attitude and like to have fun at work
Flexible and pragmatic to act in a changing environment during transformation
Digital literacy – finding it easy to adapt to digital tools and systems. Engaged in driving automation using these kinds of tools.
Fluency in business English, spoken and written
University/Master’s Degree or equivalent in a relevant area
IT proficiency – good knowledge of Microsoft Office, especially Excel and Power Point. Power BI experience and SAP knowledge are a strong merit
