The role
As a Business Controller for Viaplay Group Radio SE, the main responsibilities are monthly reporting and analysis, budget and forecasting, follow-up and control of financial performance, pro-actively provide financial business support and support in administrative processes to the organization and internal control issues.
The position combines hands-on daily duties with more complex analytical tasks and project lead. In this position strong communication skills are important since you will be the point of contact to all central departments in Viaplay Group, and will independently communicate with both the Viaplay organization and with the Radio organization.
Key Responsibilities and Accountabilities includes:
Financial Analysis: Thorough and detailed follow up on revenue and cost and create bridges from estimates/forecasts/budgets vs actuals/estimates monthly/quarterly/yearly.
Budgeting and Forecasting: Independently prepare and report forecast on PnL and BS.
Variance Analysis: Proactively evaluating the business by preparing business cases initiated both from yourself and from the management.
Daily Duties: Establish an independent, trustful and competent relationship with managers with budget responsibilities to secure high quality in financial estimates and maximize the quality in support from Finance to the Operations.
Performance Metrics: Develop and track KPIs to measure business performance and identify areas for improvement.
Cost Control: Monitor expenses, identify cost-saving opportunities, and implement efficient processes.
Ad Hoc Projects: Contribute to special projects and initiatives as needed.
What we’re looking for
To thrive in this role, we believe that you have great skills in Excel and a strong ability to communicate financial figures and calculations in an understandable way. Furthermore, you are a “do-er” who enjoy a fast-paced environment, appreciate solving problems and possess an operational mindset.
Ideal candidates also meet the following requirements:
Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field.
3 years of experience as a Business Controller/Auditor or similar role (Experience of working at a large global accounting firm is meritorious).
Structured and self-motivated with the ability to develop and create new formats for analysis.
Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
Enjoy working in a dynamic environment with many interfaces and relations on all levels in the organization.
Strong Excel skills.
Fluent in Swedish and English.
