Business Controller

Our Company

ORBITAL SYSTEMS is an award-winning clean-tech startup in Malmö, Sweden. Our Founder and CEO, Mehrdad Mahdjoubi, developed the world's most advanced shower system allowing up to 90% water savings and 80% energy savings while increasing comfort and hygiene. Inspired by an academic cooperation project with NASA, the company was launched under the mentorship of Skype's Founder Niklas Zennström, and is today in a fast-growth stage. We are a growing team of over 50 at our Malmö Headquarters and have expanded into Denmark, Norway, Germany and the US with the vision to create a new paradigm in daily water usage.

Your Role

We as a company have grown from 10 to over 50 in just over a year and the need for strong processes and structures has never been stronger. That is why we are now looking for an experienced Business Controller that will work closely with our Department Heads across Sales, Engineering, Operations and Finance, supporting the organisation as a whole. Your responsibilities will include:

- Supporting our Commercial team in setting sales targets and KPIs, calculating sales margins and product profitability, and following up monthly on sales performance in terms of volumes, revenue and margins.
- Supporting our CTO in creating project plans and resource estimation.
- Working closely with our VP Supply Chain across sourcing, purchasing and production to create a better understanding of our stock volume.
- Participating in inventory controls and securing COGS accounting.
- Assisting our CFO with the budget, and closing reconciling inventory value monthly and also helping the cost centre owners in setting budgets and forecast.

Who are We Looking For?

We are looking for driven individuals who burn for sustainability and have a strong belief in creating a better world through innovation and technology. You need to be analytical and well structured as a person and have an ability to put finance and figures into a business context. It is important that you have hands on mind-set, eagerness to learn and are self going. You also need to have:

- Experience with production, inventory and COGS principles.
- A minimum of 5 years? working experience as business or financial controller.
- Experience of working for an international company.
- A bachelor's degree in Finance or equivalent
- Fluency in English -spoken and written
