Business Controller at Cross Brand Operations

Scania, as a part of the TRATON group, is working in close cooperation with our partner brands to find synergies where we utilize each brand’s unique competencies to create the best possible business opportunities supporting Scania’s overall strategy driving the shift towards a sustainable transport system.

Cross Brand Operations have the main responsibility to examine and evaluate business setups with other brands within the TRATON group and other external strategic partners.

Our assignment involves setting up business models and ensuring that Scania is prepared to handle the business over time. This work is done cross-functionally and in close cooperation with the running product development projects.

The role

The role as Business Controller means being a key player in the team acting as support in finance- and business control-related questions. You will work close to your Business Controller colleague and take part in strategic and commercial discussions with your Business Manager colleagues to safeguard the interests and profitability of Scania and the TRATON group. Your assignment will include tasks such as:


• following up, analyzing, and evaluating already running businesses in regards to e.g. transfer pricing, cost development, sales volume, result, etc,
• supporting the Business Managers in the work of evaluating new business opportunities to ensure that we have solid business cases considering all financial aspects,
• collect, analyze and compile data to produce financial reports,
• on-demand prepare presentations and present to senior management,
• taking an active role in developing and maintaining the associated financial processes and methods to ensure that Scania is ready to handle the current and future business relationships.

Your profile

You are enthusiastic, liable, well-structured, and analytical. Of course, you have a great interest in finance and business controlling, but this is also an ideal position if you see yourself as business-minded and have the interest in combining technical, commercial, and financial aspects into one context. Cross Brand Operations’ assignment is performed in close collaboration with a large number of functions within Scania and TRATON and it is therefore important that you are communicative and feel comfortable working with a large network. You should be fluent in English both in speaking and writing.

Cross Brand Operations’ role and responsibility are still under development and it is therefore important that you feel comfortable navigating and driving questions forward in areas, processes, and tasks where everything is not fully decided or clear.

You probably hold a university degree in engineering, business & administration, or similar, and a few years’ working experience in business controlling.
