Business Controller – Bus & Coach Controlling

The objective for the Finance and Business Control function, KC, is to support and enable profitable and cost-efficient business activities that deliver customer value, volume, and margin targets within Sales and Marketing (S&M). The department is responsible for navigating by performance analysis and follow-up S&M's global activities/business areas in order to support operations to initiate corrective actions. The function carries out several activities including business controlling, analysis, accounting, and reporting as well as inventory records.

As the current Business Controller within Buses & Coach Controlling (KCB) is leaving for other challenges we are now looking for an ambitious Business Controller with a solid financial background to join our team and be a business partner to the Bus & Coach business. The Bus & Coach business is in an exciting phase as a new bus generation is being introduced as well as being a strong driving force in Scanias’ sustainability journey.

Main areas of responsibility  

The main responsibility within the role is to safeguard the performance management and support sound decision-making within the Bus & Coach business.

By doing that you will face tasks like:


• Projection process responsible together with the business
• Controlling and analysis of the Bus & Coach business
• Book closing activities
• Enabling business owners to understand how decided activities affect profitability
• Be an active part of projects within the Bus & Coach business
• Present and explain Bus & Coach figures to different stakeholders
• Ad hoc projects and investigations mainly within Bus & Coach but also within Finance and Business Control (KC)

Your profile

We are looking for an ambitious person with an MS in Economics and Business Administration or MS in industrial engineering and a solid financial background. As a person, you are responsible, organized, and have a problem-solving attitude. You are good at converting needs into clear goals and deliveries for both yourself and surrounding interfaces. You have a “lean” mindset always striving to improve running processes in order to maximize business value. Strong communication skills in English both written and orally are required. Knowledge in HFM/Smart view, Microsoft Office, Power BI, and good general IS/IT competence for personal efficiency is seen as meritious.
