Volvo Penta Business Controller, Digital & IT

The Volvo Penta team is now looking for a Business Controller, Digital & IT who will build and proactively develop the cost control and accounting framework for Volvo Penta Digital & IT current and future business.
The ideal candidate is a driven and structured finance professional with a can-do attitude, who is not afraid to challenge and is willing to learn and contribute to the transformation journey of Volvo Penta. In this role you will report to Head of Business and Portfolio Management in Digital & IT, as well as work in close cooperation with Volvo Group and Volvo Penta Finance community.
Core responsibilities
Own and run the process to collect, consolidate, and build financial total budget for Volvo Penta D&IT
Collect, consolidate, and report Volvo Penta global IT costs
Own and run the process for regular estimates and forecasts
Report and communicate cost, budgets and forecasts to stakeholders within Volvo Penta and the Volvo Group
Actively participate in Volvo Penta Finance Network
Prepare financial reporting material for executive management meetings
Provide knowledge and guidance to colleagues on cost handling, accounting and reporting and SAP master finance usage
Development and Transformation responsibilities
Identify and drive improvements in terms of efficiency, structure, automation, and usability
Provide guidelines and competence to stakeholders for cost controlling, allocations and reporting
Work with stakeholders within both Volvo Penta, and Volvo Group to identify cross-functional improvements and secure transparent flow of information
Support Volvo Penta transformation towards new business models and increased collaboration with external partners, and mergers & acquisition topics
Engage in automation of business processes inside Volvo Penta using Robotic Process Automation
Competence and skills required
University degree or similar in finance
Experience from working in a Business Controller role
Good business understanding
A proactive approach and interest in developing structured business control methods
Good networking and communication skills
Strong drive to identify and implement improvements, using modern technology
General interest in IT & Digitalization
Good user skills in tools and solutions such as SAP, BI platforms, Power BI and Excel
Experience from business controlling in an IT organization and experience from the Volvo Group is considered an advantage
